In order to optimize road traffic and minimize the strains and stresses of the particular road when ground frost occurs, ITS Technology ground frost sensor are installed in the road body. Geological, as well as geographical, conditions determine the length of the sensor. The ground temperature is measured down to 2,5 meters with 5 to 10 temperature sensors. Temperatures are registered from 2 to 6 times every 24 hours.

The ground frost sensor can also be a mobile unit.
